Are you passionate about international development? Do you want to connect with like-minded students across Canada? Do you want to hear about upcoming events and job opportunities? Do you want to see your ideas come to life? Do you want to make a difference?

If you answered YES to those questions, then you’ve come to the right place!

While IDS students have a vast array of knowledge, skills, visions and dreams, they  also have an infectious passion to create change in their communities. Up until now, however, the great work done by these students has been predominantly isolated within its program. That’s where NIDSA comes in. The National International Development Student Association will provide an organized space in which students can communicate, collaborate and share resources to create a storm of energy across Canada!

How can you get involved? We were hoping you’d ask that.

-NIDSA will have one representative from each IDS program in Canada. These representatives will be responsible for getting the word out about NIDSA on their campus (we’re working on a flashy poster for you right now!), communicating with profs and practitioners about opportunities and undertaking specific tasks for NIDSA and/or the Undercurrent as needed. If you’re interested in representing your school program, send us an email at outreach@undercurrentjournal.ca .

-Like NIDSA on Facebook, and start posting any events, opportunities, articles you think may interest other students!

-Plan to come to InSight 2017 (held at the University of Toronto this May -- details to come!). This is where NIDSA’s positions will be appointed for the upcoming year.

Further details will be posted on this page, so be sure to check back!
